Abstract

The publication is divided into three chapters. The first chapter briefly deals with the students' impulses from continous professional practice, which future teachers undergo as a part of their master studies at the Department of Music Education of the Faculty of Education at Charles University.

Based on their feedback, other thematic areas had been identified, which are dealt with in Chaper Two. It focuses on listening activities with the visualization in music education.

The second chapter also contents the suggesions for vocal-instrumental and dramatic activities that future teachers should apply in music education. Individual model examples and samples of compositions are secected to meet the needs of younger and older school age pupils.

Didactic situations are based on real teaching and illustrate a wide interdisciplinary application within various study fields. The publication also presents real exxamples and situations form professional practice of students of the Master's degree at the Department of Music Education at the FAculty of Education, Charles University.

Selected didactic problems are illustrated by practical audio and video demonstrations. The publication provides many musical examples with music recordings and offers feedback by: terms to remember, questions and tasks to think about, and control tasks.

All this serves to make the text as interactive as possible, t inspire teachers and to encourage them to be creative.
