Abstract
The paper informs the reader about the analysis of the fieldworks within the Geographical Olympiad in Czechia (Zeměpisná olympiáda, ZO) and The International Geography Olympiad (iGEO). Emphasis is placed on recommendations for Czech creators of the new tasks, both for the purpose of approximation to international standards and in context with the potential organization of iGEO in Czechia in the forthcoming years.
Last but not least, the text informs about the course of the current year of the national ZO.
