Abstract
The paper introduces to the reader the concept of fieldwork teaching and its current rendition at Czech schools. Furthermore, it will introduce the possibilities of field teaching at a particular elementary school on the topic of waste management.
It concludes by summarizing the field exercise that took place at this year's national round of the Geographical Olympiad, including the announcement of its results and winners.
