Finding the boundaries of musical pre-literacy and literacy

Abstract

Musical literacy and pre-literacy are not yet defined or mutually limited in Czech music pedagogy. The article presents a possible insight into this issue, focuses on the period of the first contact of preschool children with musical notation and on the potential of musical activities in favor of the development of non-musical pre / literacy.

In conclusion, it brings tips that facilitate the organization of musical activities in numerous classes of kindergartens.
