Articulation standard in the interpretation of Czech folk and author songs

Publication at Faculty of Education |
2019

Abstract

The article presents orthoepic rules, the observance of which should significantly contribute to a convincing and understandable interpretation of folk and author songs in solo and choral performance. It focuses on the issues of discordance of word and musical accent, discordance of the length of the syllable and tone, and the pronunciation of duplicate sounds in different articulatory districts - all phenomena are illustrated by examples of songs.
