The text is based on the paradigm of historical study of everyday life and applies its conceptual apparatus to visual, respectively film and media studies. On the example of three documentary films from 1967-1969 (Respice finem, Silence and Imperial Servants), the study analyzes the work of their authors (Jan Špáta, Rudolf Adler, Jindřich Fairaizl) with the "scenery of everyday life" and "props of everyday life" (new term) in the relation to the degree of authenticity of a documentary record.
