Abstract

"Feel the flow on the snow" - after mastering of necessary cross-country skiing skills, the cross-country skiing brings enjoyments from nature and joy of moving in snowy landscape more than any sport." (Ján Ilavský) The cross-country skiing is an exciting human activity. Given that the man was born for walking and endurance running, the use of skis was a natural matter.

It was walking, but on the skis, which were slid on the snow surface only. The sports cross-country skiing is a different thing: the kick is similar like during walking, but there is glide in the movement cycle.

The glide is something unwanted for terrestrial creatures. As well there are arms that are not primarily used for movement.

This doctoral project deals with coordination differences of chosen techniques of cross-country skiing. The moving cycle of two techniques contains gliding phase and one no.

Let us look if it is possible to review the quality of watched movement and the level of similarity of the watched techniques.
