NETs could damage airway epithelium and trigger inflammatory responses. Nec-1 inhibit neutrophil release NETs ameliorates neutrophil airway inflammation.
May be the inherent mechanism of Nec-1 inhibit neutrophil release NETs is related to it specificitly promotes neutrophil apoptosis.
