Abstract
This software impements a new method for the simplification of contour lines preserving a-priori given vertical error. Instead of the finding intersections of the contour line segment and the buffer, the vertical error is estimated using the heuristic strategy, the straight walk, over triangles in the Delaunay triangulation. 3 simplificatiion methods implementing the recusive strategy as well as 2 additional smoothing procedures have been implemented.
The poposed method is applicable to the large point clouds acquired using ALS.
