Most frequent injuries in female handball players

Abstract

The main objective in this work is evaluation of the most frequent injuries in women handball players, who play in season 2017/2018 the highest competition in Czech Republic - league MOL and the 3rd highest competition in Czech Republic - the 2nd league in women handball. The next objective is find out, if the teams have in their training unit the regenerative and compensatory practise, also there is physiotherapist in team or no.

THEORETICAL BASE OF WORK Handball is a very variable game in which movement changes, quick and short sprints and jumps (Grasguber, 2008). Handball is a contact sport during which a collision with a player cannot be avoided and therefore there are very common injuries in handball (Isaković, 2016).

THE METHODOLOGY OF THE WORK Characteristisc of the file In the MOL Women's League, the 2017/2018 season consists of 8 Czech teams. The second women's league - the western part, plays a total of 11 teams.

Method for data collection For data collection, I chose the form of a non-standardized questionnaire. Evaluation of the acquisition of the date The program was used to process individual data from the returned questionnaires IBM SPSS Statistics 25, which performed a percentage representation of each response and a chi square test function was used, which with a significance level of p = 0.05 either confirmed or refuted the established hypotheses.

Obtaining data Of the 160 returned I excluded 48 (30%) questionnaires because they did not meet the criteria I entered. I included 112 questionnaires in the study, which corresponds to 70% of the total questionnaires sent.
