\use of heuristic strategies for solving problems of lower and upper secondary schools

Abstract

The aim of the lecture was to introduce the use of heuristic strategies when solving problems in mathematics at the lower and upper secondary level. Examples of problems were used for illustrating how their active application influences students' culture of problem solving and their attitude towards mathematics.
