Crossing Borders: Interdisciplinarity, migration and mobility in art history and related subjects

Abstract

In 2016 PhD students of the Institute for Art History organized first of the now already traditional conferences that opened space for discusions about up-to-date material- and metodological questions across specializations. In fifteen contributions divided into four sections the borders define space for interaction in intercultural exchange, terrain for exploring of interpretative frameworks, the area of intersection with other disciplines or serve as a tool for exploring the inner limits of specializations.

Wide thematical range of the contributions, being result of research carried out not only in art history, but also in the fields of Ibero-American studies, ethnography, archaeology, literary theory or religious studies, shows the scale of enrichment brought by interdisciplinary dialogues in shared metodological approaches.
