Abstract

Esophageal perforation by a loose splint after spondylosurgical surgery is a rare complication. In patients who have undergone spinal surgery and have problems and symptoms that are related to the esophageal involvement, the possible failure and migration of the osteosynthetic material component should be considered within the diagnostic discretion.
