Abstract
Melanoma of the urethra is a rare tumor - less than 1 % of all melanomas. It more commonly affects women, originating mostly in the distal part of the urethra, and somethimes confused with urethral caruncle.
Primary melanomas of the gynecological tract arealso rare and aggressive. Both have high metastatic potential and poor outcome.
