The article provides a historical profile of the Skiing Rules of the International Ski Federation (FIS), known as the "Security Decalogue" or the "Skier's Code of Conduct". It introduces the genesis of the formation of today's FIS rules, lists their initiators, authors and the true country of origin of Italy, although it is somewhere inaccurately stated that it was established at the FIS Congress in Beirut in 1967, and only approved today's form.
