Abstract
Together with the authors we have prepared a unique publication focusing on the problems of spinal disorders, since this area is one of the most important parts of modern neurology, although it has been neglected so far. The book not only emphasizes primarily spinal disorders, but also deals with neurological diseases of adjacent structures and tissues.
The anatomy and physiology of the spinal cord, typical clinical spinal syndromes, neurophysiology and imaging methods in relation to spinal functions are reviewed. The book focuses on common and rare spinal cord diseases, their etiology, pathogenesis, clinical picture, diagnosis, differential diagnosis and therapy.
Nozological units are supplemented with current treatment views from related fields (eg neurosurgery, rehabilitation, urology, etc.). There are also 35 selected case reports.
The book is intended for neurologists, radiologists, neurosurgeons, physiotherapists and other specialists
