Abstract

The authors present a case report of primary facial nerve reconstruction with autologous great auricular nerve graft following resection of recurrent, deeply invasive basal cell carcinoma in parotidomasseteric region. The presented case shows that successful reinnervation of mimic muscles may be achieved even in elderly patients with a large defect in the continuity of the facial nerve.
