Climate Change Adaptation in the Field of Utilization and Protection of Freshwater Resources: the Case of the Czech Republic

Abstrakt
The contribution provides an overview of the adaptation measures that are taken in Czechia, in the field of management and protection of water resources. First, the hydrological conditions of Czechia are presented, followed by an overview of how they are expected to be altered by the climate change.
In the main part, the considered, proposed and already undertaken adaptation measures dealing with water managament are presented and discussed. In the conclusion, the so far taken measures and overall approach towards the adaptation to the climate change are evaluated.
