Abstract
The study addresses the transformations of the medieval and early modern settlements of the Hornopožárské forest district based on documentary sources and archaeological field prospections. The aim is to more accurately locate deserted villages, demesne farms and strongholds described in the literature and other sources, by means of non-destructive anthropological methods, especially surface collections and monitoring of the anthropogenic relief shapes in the landscape.
