Human physiology allows implementation of various practical activities, e.g. inquiry tasks. The inquiry is often discussed as innovative way for science education because it promotes students' active involvement in the teaching-learning process as well as the growth of practical activities during the lessons.
This paper introduces the inquiry tasks related to human sensory system, specifically combination of single senses in recognizing the taste of food and drinks. The worksheet for lower-secondary pupils is in the attachment of this paper.
The proposed task has been verified in practice and we can recommend it as suitable practical activity for biology lessons.
