Abstract
The author points out in the chapter the problems of depopulation of urban centers, which however remain, inter alia, monasteries inhabited by religious communities. The author underlines the importance of such monasteries as places of continuity and living authentic memory and as places of conteplation in the urban environment.
The author also names areas where such monasteries need the support of city authorities.
