This article contains the Czech translation of a prenatal protective ritual from a Tibetan manuscript titled Chi-pa sung-pä män-ngag which translates to Instructions for protection of children. The introduction deals with the characterization of the text's essential nature, description of the manuscript and some crucial points on the context of translation regarding Tibetan rituals and medicine.
The text itself involves a lengthy enumeration of various protective and wrathful female vampires and demons as well as illnesses' for which a referential text titled Rig-ngag-ki gyal-mo Ma-cha chen-mo was used for critical comparison. The translation contains crucial explanatory footnotes.
