Abstrakt
The review discusses the book "Zapamiętane w krajobrazie. Krajobraz kulturowy czesko-niemieckiego pogranicza w czasach przemian" by Karolina Ćwiek-Rogalska, a Polish ethnologist and bohemist, published in Poland last year.
The book is an analysis of the borderland landscape of Western Bohemia (both in its material and non-material aspects). The review focuses on the parts of the book, that according to the reviewer, might be the most inspiring for the Czech audience - the layers of memory behind the landscape, Czech-Jewish-German perspective, the view from the outside (a Polish researcher), and how to deal with the loss that is an essential component of the Czech-German borderland landscape.
