Abstract
IInsulin pump infusion sets are responsible for most complications in insulin pump treatment and they represent the weakest spot of whole insulin pump system. Currently, no guidelines regarding selecting and using of infusion sets are available in the Czech Republic.
Though, some principles of using infusion sets are universal. Patients should know these procedures, be aware of possible complications, and they should know dealing with them.
It is also benecial for the patients to try dierent types of infusion sets, and to choose those that best t their needs.
