Swedes - for Comenius the main liberators after God

Abstract

The article also reproduces a letter from Comenius to the Swedish Chancellor Axel Oxenstiern from 1648. He then analyzes the reasons that led Comenius to consider the Swedes "the main liberators after God" and urged them to renew the struggles of the Thirty Years' War despite the agreed Westphalian peace.
