Vital Connections: Lucas Cranach the Elder and North-West Bohemia

Abstract

The monograph brings a detailed elaboration of the relationship between Lucas Cranach's painting and the region of North-West Bohemia. Furthermore, there is a study devoted to the origins of his work in the Vienna Danube region.

The catalogue section presents twelve key paintings that are directly related to the Northwest Bohemia region and come from Lucas Cranach, his workshop and his followers.
