Entrepreneurship was traditionally seen as an opportunity to earn living and to work independently. This concept of entrepreneurship takes into account economic factors (profit, business, power), but social (and gender) factors are not included.

In the end, groups of entrepreneurs such as mothers with young children become invisible through this image of entrepreneurship. This text using the theory of precarity and focuses on female entrepreneurs with small children, specifically on their personal perception of the risks, barriers and positives of entrepreneurship.

We use qualitative research, concretely interviews and/or focus group, for this research. In this text we will show that such a entrepreneurship (not just a classic employment) can be seen as precarious in many ways, such as financial planning or time investment in business.

We will also show that, when analyzing the precariousness of female entrepreneurs, it is necessary to take into account caring commitments, which often influence the whole business, very often is the need to reconcile family and work the main reason, why these women start their business.
