Abstract
The topic of this post is thinking over future of prison privatization. The issue is assessed with regard to the history of prison privatization in the world and the Czech Republic and the consequent economic and social impact.
The post also deals with selected provisions of the Law of the performance of the Imprisonment. Within the law there are rated possibilities of prison privatization and entities that may operate this type of prisons and under which certain conditions.
There is also dealt with employment of prisoners in case of prison privatization. The last part of this post is about powers and responsibilities of the Prison Service.
Simultaneously, current situation and possibilities for the future are evaluated.
