Abstrakt
Since December 2018, Mexico has a new president. Andrés Manuel López Obrador is already half a year in the office and because in his campaign he promised a transformation of the country, it is interesting to analyze whether he is successful or not.
During our event, we will focus especially on the turbulent relations between his government and the one of Donald Trump, the President of the US. Dr.
Kateřina Březinová will address the issue of immigration. Hot topic of the relations between Mexico and its northern neighbor.
Dr. Ivan Dubovický will focus on Mexican foreign policy.
If diversification will occur or if the traditional partnership with the US will prevail. Dr.
Lukáš Perutka will focus on the economic development and its principal objective, i.e. renegotiation of the NAFTA Treaty.
