Processes of destandardization and demotization in the micro-macro pespective: The case of Germanic languages

Abstract

The chapter deals with the processes of destandardization and demotization as they can be analyzed in Germanic languages. The research is based on language management theory with a special focus on interconnection of social actors at the micro- as well as at the macro-level.
