Interests and power in language management: A study on the efforts to strengthen the position of German in the Czech Republic

Abstract

The chapter analyzes the position of German in the Czech Republic and reconsiders the previous efforts to strengthen it critically. Diverging interests of several relevant social actors are reflected on the basis of language management theory.
