Abstract
The aim of this study is to map the use of humor in teaching, in Czech and foreign relevant literature, and in real teaching at Czech schools. The study concentrates on the humorous materials used by teachers of mathematics to explain lecture concepts.
Paper presents the first results of analysis of 25 interviews. Covered are topics of teachers' motivation, types of humor used to have a laugh at subject matter with the pupils, considering risks and limits of using humor.
