Abstract
The paper deals with the issue of acceptance of prelingually caused hearing impairment in children of parents with hearing impairment. The presented topic was inspired by research in Germany, which is focused on the process of cochlear implantation in children of deaf parents.
No research has been conducted on a similar topic in the Czech Republic. These reasons led us to the implementation of the research that started in 2017.
In the first stage of the research, a combination of questionnaires and interviews with the parents of implanted children was carried out. In this paper we present only part of the results from the questionnaire survey.
