Czech School without Borders and Czech Language Future Abroad

Publication at Faculty of Arts |
2019

Abstract

The article brings information about the 11th international conference of Czech schools abroad in August 2019 in Prague; 75 Czech teachers from 18 countries participated. The Czech School without Borders coordinates the activities of individual Czech schools, offering Czech and Czech realities for children of Czech origin from the age of 18 months to 15 years as a complement to their daily education in local schools.

These schools have been gradually established since 2003, creating an international network of schools with its own follow-up education system. The branches operate in Paris, London, Munich, Zurich, Brussels, Geneva, Dresden and Rhein-Main and cooperate with them through forty other schools in Europe and America.

The association currently manages more than 110 schools, attended by 3400-3500 pupils.
