The monograph is based on the definitions of Zionist Weltsch, who in 1931 analyzed anti-Semitism as group (national) hysteria. In analyzing this phenomenon, the book focuses primarily on post-modern European society following the extensive historical changes associated with the disappearance of old value frameworks and the struggle to create new ones.

A disconcertes society, often subjected to social and economic hardships, found in Jews a timetested scapegoat for their frustrationa as well as unhealthy ambitions.
