Prof. MUDr.
Jan Horbaczewski was invited to Czech Medical Faculty of the Prague University in 1882 to lead the newly established Institute of Medical Chemistry. During several years he made revolutionary changes of the field and established new concept of study materials.
The most significant educational act of Prof. Horbaczewski was writing a three-part four-volume textbook Chemie lékařská (Medical Chemistry) published in the years 1904-1908.
