The text focuses on two protagonists of a very influential festival of Romani (Gypsy) culture - Khamoro, the director Jelena Silajdžič, and her husband, music director Džemil. They - as expressive specialists - both create the context in which certain musical manifestations are understood as Romani, and substantially influence their shapes.
Based on interviews, the initial ideas determining the start of the festival, as well as emphases forming it during its existence, are revealed.
