The Basics of Oikological Philosophy

Publication at Faculty of Humanities |
2019

Abstract

In most cases it is not questioned whether the relationship between economic demands and ecological aspects can be determined solely on the basis of objective relations. If, on the other hand, the economically and ecologically relevant are combined under the uniform concept of oikology, not only the problematic opposition of economy and ecology is undermined.

The perspective limited to objective conditions is also given the opportunity to be expanded and supplemented by a look at the subjective life for which an oikos exists, because the full sense of the oikological only emerges with the inclusion of a living subject.
