Abstract
The aim of this paper is to investigate the relationships and interaction between Czech immigrants coming to Canada and Indigenous peoples. Since this fields has not been systematically explored yet, the project maps the individual waves of Czech immigration and the ways in which Czech people got into contact and formed alliances and close personal relationships with Indigenous peoples.
The projects takes Saskatchewan as a point of departure where a number of cases of intermarriages between Czechs and Indigenous population have been noted.
