Abstract

The paper presents one zoological and one geological task. These tasks were base for action research performed in cooperation of branch didactics, future teachers, in-service teachers and experts in the field of pedagogy and psychology.

Both action researches were focused on effective connection between observation of natural objects and inquiry-based education. The aim was to introduce topics which are close to students' everyday life and to present them in non-traditional way.

The geological task was focused on illustrative creation of reservoir of oil and natural gas. Students had possibility to understand the sequences of layers in the reservoir.

The second task proved that activate methods are same effective as the traditional teaching methods and students acquire the comparable amount of information. The benefit of presented tasks is undemanding preparation for teacher and quite easy implementation into the biology lessons.

The action researches also proved the beneficial effect of collaboration among branch didactics, in-service teachers, experts in pedagogy and psychology and future teachers for all mentioned groups.
