Abstract
This paper presents a detailed bibliographical analysis of the first editions printed by the Czech Brethren in Ivančice in 1564. Despite the widespread belief of previous researchers, the recent findings indicate that the Brethren's printing shop was not equipped by typographical material of Alexander Oujezdecky.
The thorough analysis of the Brethren's type and initials shows that the Brethren must have invested large sums into establishing of the first printing house in South Moravia.
