Borders! Which borders? The importance of the past, the imaginary and regionality for a Europe in transition

Abstract

The article first points out the dangers and risks which the thinking of a "Europe in transitions" is inherent, if it is a theoretical "from above". He therefore pleads for a forced theoretical work, which learns to understand Europe better with a view to the historical imagination of the nation as well as in the context of a common European culture of remembrance.
