Abstract
The chapter offers and updated views of palliative care, og its different forms, problems and dilemas. Notice is also taken of the ethical and legal aspect of dying and dignity.
The individual subsections examine the benefits and risks of home care and institutionalized care; proper timing of palliative care; dysthanasia; and client's wishes expressed beforehand. The author brielfy mentions also euthanasia and lists the reasons for which it has not been included in CR legislation.
