Author's analytical tool for complex measurement of environmental literacy of pupils of primary school is a quantitative questionnaire based on standard foreign instruments. The survey focused mainly on the analysis of the psychometric parameters of the instrument.
Three primary schools and a multi-year grammar school in the Czech Republic were attended research, the total number of respondents was 467. Data collection was carried out in autumn 2018.
Internal consistency and construct validity using exploratory factor analysis were investigated. Relationships between environmental literacy dimensions were also monitored through correlation analysis.
The reliability of all sub-scales of the instrument reached acceptable values in the range of 0.7-0.8. Subsequent comparative analysis of data from the Czech Republic and Poland provided analogous results.
