Abstrakt
For a long time Czech-Cyprus relations only pertained to sporadic contacts between the Czech lands and the island of Cyprus. After 1960, when the independent Republic of Cyprus attained its independence, Czechoslovak contacts with Cyprus developed within the framework of broader international political and economic relations.
Since 1993 they have taken the form of relations between the independent Czech Republic and the Republic of Cyprus.
