Abstract

The aims of our study: to analyse the role of auditory perception in children suffering from developmental dysphasia (DD) using speech dichotic central tests. Dichotic listening is a technique of simultaneously presentation of different stimuli in both ears.

We developed special dichotic tests in Czech language. We have focused on comparison of dichotic listening in pre-school children with DD and in older DD children with dysortographia with normal developed children.

Several types tests were used, from two-syllable words or from short sentences. Results of the dichotic tests in children with DD and dysortographia confirmed integration problems in the central perception area and the short-term memory disorder.
