Abstract

During the reign of emperor Charles IV (+1378) and his son Wenceslas IV (+ 1419), Prague became one of the most important art centres of Europe. The echo of Czech architecture and other kinds of art can be met far beyond the borders of the Bohemian lands.

At that time, pieces of art were sometimes "exported" from Prague to distant lands.
