The Cooperation between the Family and a Community based on the Start together Program

Publication at Faculty of Education |
2019

Abstract

The cooperation between the family and a community is being considered as a frequently discussed topic. Experiences from kindergartens and nine-year schools are based on the Start together program which has also inspired other schools in improving their educational practice.

It is developing the key competences and thus leading to the support of students' reactions to changes while balancing them. Each chapter offers an insight into the aspects of innovative approaches within the cooperation between the teachers and their students' families as well as examples of the 'good educational practice' that are presented here in a readable way.

The reader will be able to identify a wide spectrum of possibilities on how to effectively and individually form the cooperation between the family and a community by means of introducing the concrete examples. Such an approach creates a follow-up to the standards of qualities within the educational process with respect to parents, teachers and students in their mutual interaction. This publication also provides an insight into the Start together program as a principle of the required qualitative changes in both nine-year schools and kindergartens.
