Abstract
The book is divided into several chapters, such as clinical examination of the locomotive apparatus, importance of laboratory and imaging methods and differential diagnostics of musculoskeletal disorders according to individual joints. Specifically, monoarthritis with a focus on septic and gouty arthritis is described.
The basic procedure of differential diagnosis of polyarthritis is discussed. Diseases induced by infection, autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases, degenerative diseases, crystal-induced arthropathy, metabolic or storage diseases will be mentioned.
The main aim of the book is to acquaint the reader with the clinical picture and practical instructions on how to recognize various forms of arthritis in everyday clinical practice.
