Abstract

The increasing number of suicides represents a serious social problem all over the world, including the Czech Republic. This problem affects the whole age range of the population, unfortunately also children and adolescents, who, together with seniors, are more sensitive to external influences of the surroundings.

This is an issue that is behind the awareness of both the professional and the lay public, yet it concerns the most vulnerable individuals - children and adolescents, who in many cases could, by appropriate intervention, help to solve seemingly unsolvable problems and thus prevent the tragic, today fortunately a rare part of forensic practice.
